Have you seen an upcoming event, speaker, class or activity that made you wish you could share the enjoyment and learning with other home economists who share your passion?
We want to help you make it happen! MAHE is offering our members funding towards these local plans through the 2026-2027 MAHE Member Connect program.
Current members can apply for up to $15.00/member to support these initiatives during 2026-2027.
Here’s how:
- Find at least one other MAHE member to join you – the more the merrier! There may be other home economists in your area, member or non-member, who may want to join in. MAHE can help you promote your event through the News Digest newsletter to reach others, too!
- Identify your group event or activity, for example:
- Host a cooking class with fellow members
- Attend an event that relates to the profession (eg textiles, nutrition, family, finances)
- Start a book club led by home economists
- Subsidize food costs for a gathering of home economists to reconnect
- Buy supplies to complete a community service project with other members
- Submit your application early using the linked form below; they will only be accepted until the maximum funding amount is reached.
- We will review your application and let you know if you are approved.
- Once your event or activity is complete, submit copies of receipts and the complete list of names of member participants to mahe@mahe.ca by August 1, 2027. Submissions after that date will not be reimbursed.
